BBC1’s new Death in Paradise spin-off Beyond Paradise, with Kris Marshall reprising his role as DI Humphrey Goodman but set in the West Country, did well on 24 February, with 4.4m tuning in. It beat Coronation Street on ITV1, which drew 3.2m. Failed Endeavour The opening instalment of the last-ever series of ITV1’s Endeavour struggled on 26 February, with the episode attracting 3.3m. Best known for… Famous for his trademark moustache and bouffant hair, Dickie was the main host of ITV’s Saturday-afternoon show World of Sport from 1968 until it ended in 1985. Other achievements… After World of Sport ended, Dickie covered the 1988 Seoul Olympics for ITV before joining Eurosport and later Sky Sports. He also presented sports bulletins for Classic FM during the 1990s, and featured in ITV’s 50-year anniversary celebrations in 2005. Family life… Dickie died on 19 February, aged 94. He’s survived by his wife, Liz, their twin sons, Daniel and Peter, as well as four grandchildren.…
