It’s a similar technique to rag-rugging. Harriet, the person showing me how to do it, got into tufting during lockdown and now sells her creations to big retailers. Best known for… Leslie is best known for his appearances in the Carry On films, which sparked catchphrases such as, ‘Ding dong,’ and, ‘I say.’ He starred in four films in the franchise, including Carry on Nurse and Carry on Constable. Other achievements… He also starred in the films Doctor in Love, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Out of Africa and Venus and appeared in TV series such as The Navy Lark, The Kumars at No.42, Rumpole of the Bailey and Chancer. In recent years, Leslie voiced the Sorting Hat in the Harry Potter movies. Family life…. Leslie died on 7 November, aged 98, after a long illness.
