Best known for… As one third of the musical trio Rod, Jane and Freddy, along with his co-stars Rod Burton and Jane Tucker, Freddy was famous for singing hundreds of catchy tunes on the classic ITV kids’ show Rainbow during the 1980s. Other achievements… The three friends hosted a spin-off programme, Rod, Jane and Freddy, which ran between 1981 and 1991. Freddy also had appearances on The Sooty Show and Pointless Celebrities, as well as acting roles in The Sweeney and Z Cars.
