Best known for… Canadian star Rick was ‘Yoffy’ in the cult children’s TV series Fingerbobs, part of the Watch with Mother slot. Yoffy told stories and sang songs about little finger puppets such as Fingermouse, Gulliver the seagull and Flash, a tortoise. Other achievements… Rick started his TV career co-presenting the BBC kids’ series Play School and Play Away. He also hosted a BBC Manchester talent show called We Want to Sing, and sang and played keyboards in the country rock band Meal Ticket. Family life… In later years, Rick lived in San Francisco with his wife, Valerie Neale. He died on 7 October, aged 84.…
