Best known for … James was best known for playing Gunther in the much-loved TV comedy Friends (1994-2004). Gunther was one of the most memorable characters in the series and had a huge, unrequited crush on his co-worker Rachel, played by Jennifer Aniston. Other achievements… Tyler also appeared in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Scrubs and the BBC sitcom Episodes. Illness… James was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2018 and died on Sunday 24 October at his LA home, at the age of 59. He often used his fame to raise awareness of prostate cancer.…
