In mid-June, a man pledging his cause to ISIS opened fire at a nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people and injuring another 53. Sadly, it was not the first, nor likely the last, active shooter situation on American soil. While many of our civil authorities continue to downplay the terrorist threat or the fact that these mass shootings continue to happen in “gun-free zones,” one thing has been made abundantly clear yet again— the right and responsibility for armed self-defense has never been greater.
