ANGELINA JOLIE PUTS CHURCHILL’S ART IN THE FRAME
She recently revealed that, when it comes to fashion, she wears pieces “to death.” However, there are some treasures Angelina Jolie is happy to say goodbye to. The big screen queen (left) is auctioning a painting by Winston Churchill that is expected to fetch up to £2.5m when it goes under the hammer at Christie’s in London. The only artwork the UK Prime Minister created during the war, Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque (below) was painted in 1943 in Marrakech for US President Franklin D Roosevelt. It was bought by the Jolie Family Collection in 2011, after being stored in a cupboard for 15 years by its previous owner.
