In my house, the holiday season doesn’t officially start until I unpack all my ornaments. Most are swaddled in paper towels, so to unwrap them is to get a little surprise every time. Oh, it’s so nice to see you again, crocheted Santa, felt animals, and lace-trimmed angels. They’ve all had a place on my tree for decades.
