IsoTek has taken a step forward in technology with the launch of its new ‘SMART Power’ range. Presented by IsoTek MD, Keith Martin, the new Alpha, Delta and Theta models offer full system control (and monitoring) of connected electronics through RS232, LAN and over Wi-Fi, all via a custom app. The demo was mighty impressive! www.isoteksystems.com Serbian brand Auris Audio made its EISA debut with the new tube-based D125 system and DHP DAC [inset], but the biggest stir was caused by its Euterpe headphone amp [HFN Sep ’19]. The wooden casework is shaped to act as a headphone stand – it offers both USB and analogue inputs, with a PL95 pentode-driven output. www.aurisaudio.rs/en Yosuke Asada of Japan’s Audio Accessory checks out KEF’s Uni-Q equipped wireless LSX speakers [HFN Oct ’19]. This is the six-input 91E Integrated Amplifier from Western Electric. Despite only one 300B per channel in single-ended mode, it can deliver 20W/ch. Bias is microprocessor controlled while the toroidal output transformers are removable, modular blocks, which can be matched to the speaker impedance. Finish is champagne or black. www.westernelectric.com VAC’s Statement 450i amplifier was an impressive sight, but so was the system with which it was demonstrated. Sources were an Acoustic Signature Invictus Jr turntable with TA-5000 arm and Airtight Opus cartridge, supplemented by a rack of Esoteric Grandioso digital goodies. As for the speakers, these were the Von Schweikert Audio Ultra 9s in a striking red finish. www.vonschweikert.com Wharfedale unveiled its flagship Elysian series with the standmount Elysian 2s seen here in white, either side of the company’s Lintons.
