it’s now time for an “ethical code”

In the course of the past few years, mainly among the insiders there’s been much talk about the sort of impact Italian shipyards have in the world and of all those supporting realities which have generated spin-offs. Therefore the interested parties were not solely ship yard owners but naval architects, interior designers, accessory producers nevertheless and: all readily available to do their best to satisfy client requests. Today too, even if the Country is experiencing an intense political moment which surely is not favouring markets, Italy’s yachting scene is maintaining an enviable leading position thanks to the considerable number of international yacht owners all over the world that are continuing to prefer “made in Italy” superyachts for their quality, design and – be aware - for the competiveness of the…

ocean alexander 90 r

Washington based Ocean Alexander shipyard has come up with an all new and innovative project design for a 90’ to be realized with Evan Marshall’s contribution. ocean king naucrates 130

Cantieri Navali di Chioggia’s Ocean King brand has now a new entry: the Naucrates 130 designed by Green Yachts an Italian design studio. Just like the Naucrates 88 this model is also destined to cruise every ocean and that is why this yacht too has been designed to comply to the highest standards in term of build and safety. She’s all of 40 metres long with a beam of10.26; she’s to be built in steel with aluminium alloy superstructure. Naucrates 130 will be noticed for her attractive innovative lines blending adamantly the proportions of explorer models to the flowing streamlined style of those superyachts that are often seen cruising along the trendiest coasts. According to the project design this yacht’s volumes will be very much in line with those of…

tankoa yachts s 533 saetta

Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts has recently come up with a new 53 metre planing yacht. She sports a beam of 9.20 metres and is capable of 28 knots. This performance yacht’s waterlines have been attained following ad hoc studies, to match the exuberance of three hefty MTU 16V 2000 M94L engines coupled to a pair of hydro-jets and Kamewa booster. This new sporty Tankoa yacht project has been purposely named Saetta to best evoke speed. The exterior design is definitely aggressive and brawny which befits such a promising yacht at least in terms of speed. Ample use of glazed window like ports shaped to convey plenty of natural light play a fundamental role in enhancing a sense of elegance. Designer Francesco Paszkowski commented as follows. “The TECHNICAL DATA LOA: 53.00 m – LWL:…

crn 86 metre explorer yacht

CRN has recently presented the newly built 86 metre Explorer Yacht designed by British design studio Harrison Eidsgard. This project differs substantially from many others which look a lot like work ships with which to explore remote areas. This Italian shipyard a historic brand of the Ferretti Group instead sports a silhouette which is much closer to cruising recreational superyachts where forms are dynamic and sleek and in line with the typical styling seen in the rest of the Ancona yard’s fleet. However since this CRN 86 metre is an Explorer Yacht it is well equipped to face up to the most severe weather conditions with advanced technology as well as much more. There are several diverse safe spots into which slot tenders and toys, powerful davit cranes are readily available…
