For the past year or so, health has been the focus of nearly everything we tune into. With COVID-19 wreaking havoc and distress across the world, our physical and mental wellbeing has never been so magnified. Now, as we emerge from the pandemic, will this be the new normal and will we continue to prioritise and safeguard our health wherever possible? I’m not just talking about COVID-19, but about ensuring we go for those checks we ve been putting off, or making the time to call the doctor and book in a mammogram. In this issue, we look at moles and which ones are safe. Recognising changes often alerts us to a potential issue. I hope one positive to shine through all this will be people looking after their bodies.…

what a week!

RUTH ‘IT’S BEEN DIFFICULT’ Ruth Langsford has opened up about husband Eamonn Holmes chronic pain and how ‘difficult’ it has been for them to cope with. ‘It’s a slow process,’ the presenter said of his recovery. ‘He’s just carrying on with his physio and putting the work into that. It’s very difficult when someone is in pain because it’s hard to help them.’ Eamonn, who has been relying on crutches to get around, has been suffering with chronic pain for months and was even losing sleep. He was eventually diagnosed with a dislocated pelvis and three slipped discs in his back, though he has no idea how he suffered the injuries. He recently revealed how he’s completely reliant on Ruth to help him around the house, explaining, ‘Without Ruth, I wouldn’t be able to cook…

holly out, fern in?

It’s been nearly 12 years since Holly Willoughby joined This Morning but, with much speculation around her considering a move away from the ITV show, could her predecessor Fern Britton be about to make a dramatic return? ‘HOLLY’S BEEN GIVEN NO CHOICE’ Fern’s life has undoubtedly changed over the last year, following a split from her husband Phil Vickery after almost 20 years of marriage. And with the confirmation of one new TV project already, it looks like the author is preparing to step back into the spotlight. A source tells us, ‘Fern hasn’t been properly settled since leaving This Morning, no matter what she changes about her life. She moved house and moved on from her marriage but she’s never been able to recreate the feeling of happiness she got from…

celebs stripping off

Elizabeth Hurley The model and actor, 56, is comfortable in her own skin and posts a plethora of semi-clad shots to her Instagram page, prompting comments about how the star is ageing backwards. And Liz, who’s been an ambassador for the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer campaign, believes that self-care is key to feeling good. She has said, ‘We women put our needs at the bottom of the list, but it’s important for us to be caretakers.’ Ulrika Jonsson The Swedish star, 53, recently stripped off to highlight the importance of men’s mental health. william’s new mission

They say life begins at 40, but in Prince William’s case the next major chapter in his life has already begun. As the future king turned 39, he will doubtless have taken a moment to reflect on the enormity of the challenges ahead. The events of the past few months have, in many ways, turned things on their head for a royal who – according to Harry – is trapped by his ‘accident of birth’. ‘HE MUST STEP UP TO THE PLATE’ In the calmer days before the Sussexes married, the road map for William was relatively clear. His role was to gradually grow into a Prince of Wales-in-waiting, focused on supporting the Queen and his father with the burden of full-time royal work. Don’t forget, he and Harry were once a double act, with William…
