For June, Vogue’s eye is indeed travelling – to paraphrase the late, great Diana Vreeland – with an issue created on four continents, featuring trains, boats, cars, motorbikes, a bicycle, a bus, a donkey, a chic little Fiat 500 and a galaxy’s worth of star models showcasing the best of easy, gorgeous, sunshine-ready fashion. What a jolt of joy. Photographer Nadine Ijewere travelled to Senegal with fashion director Julia Sarr-Jamois for The Artist’s Way, on page 150, for a Chanel extravaganza, the fashion house having shown their most recent Métiers d’art collection in Dakar, with a spotlight on brilliant local talent.
