Bang Showbiz DRAKEO the Ruler has died at the age of 28 after being stabbed at a music festival. The acclaimed rap star – whose real name is Darrell Caldwell – was attacked in an off-stage area on Saturday, shortly before he was due to perform at the Once Upon a Time festival in Los Angeles. Drakeo was taken to hospital in a critical condition and later died of his injuries, according to TMZ. Live Nation, the festival’s promoter, said: “There was an altercation in the roadway backstage. Asian News IOL reported last week that South African comedian and TV host Trevor Noah had filed a lawsuit against a New York City hospital and doctor after they allegedly botched a surgery the comedian underwent in 2020. Now, according to the legal complaint obtained by People magazine, last month, the host of The Daily Show sued Dr Riley J Williams III and the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in Manhattan. As per the suit, Noah was a patient between August 25, 2020, and December 17, 2020, and underwent surgery with the hospital and doctor on November 23, 2020. Police spokesperson Andrè Traut said detectives attached to the anti-gang unit were investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the three who were shot and killed in Grassy Park. “At around 7.50pm a 40-year-old woman and two men aged 56 and 36 were shot and killed by unknown gunmen on the corners of Lake Road and 6th avenue in Grassy Park. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested,” said Traut. Insurance company Auto & General’s head, Ricardo Coetzee, said statistics showed there was a 33% increase in home invasions in the week between Christmas and New Year alone. He said there was also a significant shift in how criminals gained entry (when compared to the month of December in pre-Covid-19 times) with more robbers gaining access through a front or back door, as opposed to through a window. “This could indicate that, with more people opting to stay at home, criminals would rather pounce on doors that are left unsecured…
