ASTON MARTIN DB11 V8 Weighing in at an awe-inspiring 254 pounds less than the former DB11 model, the latest addition to the Aston Martin DB line is significantly lighter and more agile than its V12 coupe counterpart. After partnering with Mercedes-AMG, Aston Martin opted to replace the existing V12 engine with a smaller, yet capable, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. The decision to integrate this Mercedes-AMG engine was made largely in part to appeal to those who are subjected to higher tax rates on larger engines. In turn, consumers in these markets save on taxes as well as the initial purchase cost, which comes in at nearly $17,500 less than the former V12 model.
