What’s the difference between a showroom and a home? For me, it’s the little things in the space that make it uniquely yours, whether it’s a collection of family pictures on the mantel or pieces that have been with the homeowner for several years. These objects add a sense of belonging to a room, and they are also things I always look out for when I’m deciding which homes to feature in the magazine. Growing up, my parents have always been afraid of destroying our designer home with their own touches.
