It’s always difficult to second-guess the weather we’ll get as winter turns to spring. Last year the Beast from the East arrived after many daffodils – the traditional harbinger of spring – had flowered. But one thing’s for sure: in the UK at least, it’s going to be wet. And that means plenty of water for us to drive through. While wading is quite easy when you know how, the sheer number of people getting caught out by a bit of water on the road is amazing. People fail to read – or properly understand – depth gauges on fords, or drive along flooded roads that are too deep for their vehicles.
