I’ve been watching War on Plastic with Hugh and Anita on telly – waste really is something of a concern. We live in a disposable society where things are discarded without a second thought, but things need to change. I like to think that Land Rover owners care a bit more – we tend to keep our vehicles for longer and, rather than chucking them on the scrap heap when they reach 10 or 12 years old, we look after them and replace the bits that are worn out. Those that are beyond repair can yield parts to keep others on the road, reducing the need to manufacture new parts – and the current models use some recycled materials in the build.
