The Land Rover seen the world over Land Rover dominated the news in early April, when it was announced that Prince Philip would make his final journey in one. He had been quoted as saying: ‘Just stick me in the back of a Land Rover and drive me to Windsor’ – and that is essentially what happened. He had not only planned the funeral, but also had input into designing his hearse (see p18). There was plenty of mainstream media attention about the vehicle – and I was even called to discuss Land Rovers on a drivetime radio show.
