Hello, and a very warm welcome to Minecraft World! Even though it might be a bit chilly outside, we’ve got loads of Minecraft fun in this issue to keep you busy! We’ve been exploring Caves & Cliffs Part II even more, and have discovered loads of brilliant seeds to try. We’re running a bumper collection of your letters and builds too, showcasing your amazing creativity over the past few months. We’re constantly in awe at the things you send us. Introduced in Part 2 of Caves & Cliffs, Minecraft’s new world generation algorithm means every seed from older versions of the game no longer creates the same world – so to get you started with the new version, we’ve put together a huge list of all the coolest and most interesting seeds that work with Minecraft 1.18! Remember: the newly introduced seed parity means that the terrain for most worlds will generate roughly the same on both Bedrock and Java Editions, so you can try these out no matter which platform you play on – we’ve tested all of these seeds in both editions so you know exactly what you can find on your preferred version. A MONUMENT To start with, we dried out the ocean monument so that you can get a better look at its size and shape. Note that it is loosely divided into three layers, each 3-4 blocks high. The main entry for a monument is at the bottom, just beneath those arches with sea lanterns – however, we’re going to start taking it apart from the top down, beginning with the bit that’s nearest the surface. WHEN CAN YOU PLAY IT? At this stage it’s anyone’s guess as to when the Wild Update will come out, but we’d expect it to be no earlier than July this year, and maybe even later than that. We might be surprised, though – if and when it becomes clear how far along the Wild Update is, we’ll tell you. WHAT’S NEW IN IT? Lots of stuff! We’ve told you about wardens and the deep dark biome many times because they were due to be in Cave & Cliffs originally, but that combination of a new mob and its home biome will be available in the Wild Update for sure. ABOUT GHAST TEARS Ghast tears are a type of mob loot found only in the Nether, where they can be dropped by ghasts that are killed by players. They are one of the rarer items in Minecraft, with only a single source and no other way to get hold of them – that makes them extremely valuable once you’ve collected them. They ’ re also a key component in two extremely rare items themselves – the potion of regeneration and the end crystal, so make sure you put them somewhere safe and don’t hang around in the Nether once you have one! COLLECTING GHAST TEARS Not every ghast drops a tear, and it’s quite easy to let them fall into the lava ocean when you do kill a ghast, so try to keep…

ABOUT DRAGON EGGS The dragon egg is perhaps the rarest block in the game – there is, in theory, only one dragon egg in any Minecraft world. It exists in the End and only appears the first time you kill the ender dragon, sitting on top of the exit portal. However, if you try to break the dragon egg, it teleports to another location nearby – it can travel around 15 blocks in any direction as long as there is space for it to appear in. Make sure you’re careful if you’re trying to collect the dragon egg, because it is possible for it to teleport into the void and fall out of the world entirely – the egg is affected by gravity, so when it has teleported it will drop down…
