Editor’s Letter
This morning I had to step in and coach my youngest daughter’s netball team. They’re only seven and this was their second training session, but what they lack in ball skills right now they make up for in enthusiasm, shouting and lots and lots of giggling. To be fair, I haven’t played netball for a few years, and I certainly haven’t any teaching experience, so I’m not sure what they learnt from me about the game – but we did have a great time running around and chucking balls all over the place. Now I’m just scared that at their first game on Saturday, they won’t know any of the rules. However, they will know how to pretend to be jumping beans from one end of the court to the other... Maybe…
