It’s been quite a week in the New Idea office! During the royal wedding we worked through the night to bring you every moment of the day – and what a celebration it was! Then we worked all day Sunday to bring you our glorious, glossy, coffee-table souvenir edition which is on the shelves from today! Queen Bey now has her very own church! According to recent reports, the singer bought a 700m², 100-year-old church in New Orleans for around US$850,000. The church was built around 1900 but has been out of commission since some of its members died. But now with its new owner, a revival is on the cards. With Bey’s sister Solange living close by, she’s likely to join her congregation. In a shock revelation, Gwyneth Paltrow has shared details of when her ex-boyfriend Brad Pitt confronted shamed Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein for sexually harassing her. The A-list actress told Howard Stern that the pair were at the opening night of Hamlet in 1995 when Brad threw Harvey against the wall and said: ‘If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you.’ She also admitted that Brad was ‘the best’ for stepping in when she most needed help.
