LOVE OF DIANA’S LIFE DIES
One of Diana’s lovers, Oliver Hoare, who was 16 years her senior, has died of cancer. The former art dealer the princess became “obsessed with” passed away aged 73. Diana was said to be smitten with him and was devastated when he dumped her. The couple reportedly began the affair in 1992, after her father, the Earl of Spencer, died – Diana would smuggle Oliver into the palace in the boot of her car. He was once apparently found hiding semi-naked behind a pot plant by one of the royal bodyguards. The Princess of Wales was said to have confessed to her confidante, Lady Bowker that she “daydreamed of living in Italy” with the handsome Hoare, but the affair ended when his wife Diane de Waldner threatened divorce a year later…
