Why the Queen deserves a break
You’ve got to feel sorry for the Queen. She’s 93 and has spent 67 years on the throne. By rights she should be enjoying her twilight years, safe in the knowledge the monarchy she has dutifully upheld will endure long after her passing. Instead she is having to process the tawdry allegations that are swirling around her favourite child. The Queen has endured plenty. But as she copes with an ailing husband, warring grandchildren and a nation jittery over Brexit, despite Prince Andrew denying his involvement, her son being caught up in the Epstein scandal will have hit her hard.
