This summer marks the 50th anniversary of the “Summer of Love.” I’m speaking of course of 1967 — a brief moment in history when a feeling of optimism, sharing, and goodwill seemed to spread across much of the country. Wright and Wrong Having grown up near Taliesin, I enjoyed the article “Frank Lloyd Wright” (May/June). Locals told many stories about the architect who, as noted, was sharp-witted. Wright built a house for Herbert “Hib” Johnson, CEO of Johnson Wax Company. Johnson was giving a fancy dinner party to show off the house when a thunderstorm erupted. The roof began to leak and water dripped down into the room.
