Raila can’t be president as Joho is governor – Omar
Former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar yesterday said he will campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of October 26 presidential election. He said he lost trust in opposition leaders when they hounded the former IEBC commissioners out of office over “fabricated claims”. “We cannot have a situation where NASA leader Raila Odinga is President and Hassan Joho is Mombasa Governor. It is a traumatic prospect,” Omar said. He urged Mombasa residents to “wake up from slumber” and realise the port city is being ruined by “incompetent” leadership. Omar spoke in Serani, Mombasa, where the government issued title deeds to five institutions that have been struggling to get land ownership documents for a long time.
