The ODM party has said Raila Odinga will not accept ‘results of a rigged election’ and accused the electoral commission of scheming to steal the 2017 polls. MWANGI WAIRIA One Home One Cow project Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wairia has launched the ‘One Home One Cow’ project to help families earn income through dairy farming. The project is an initiative under his Mwangi Wairia Foundation. Funds for the project were raised in partnership with well-wishers. PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto have moved to deal with the growing disquiet over Jubilee Party officials. Ruto announced on Saturday that JP aspirants and elected leaders would meet this week to elect interim officials across all the 47 counties. “All Jubilee elected leaders and all aspirants should sit down so that we agree on interim officials in every county who will help us coordinate all activities until we do the party elections after the general election next year,” Ruto said. The government will spend Sh300 million to connect 250 households with electricity in Nyaribari Chache constituency, Kisii county, Energy CS Charles Keter has said. On Friday, he said the households will be connected within two weeks. Keter spoke in Nyamemiso town, where he commissioned the Last Mile Connectivity Project. He was accompanied by MP Richard Tong’i, his Kuresoi North counterpart Moses Cheboi, and former Constitution and Implementation Commission chairman Charles Nyachae. Seventy per cent of the households in the area will be connected with electricity by June 2017, up from 30 percent in 2013, the CS said.
