retro-styled yamaha xsr155 breaks cover

THIS NEW, COMPACT AND OLD-SCHOOL BIKE HAS CAUGHT OUR attention. The Yamaha XSR155 is essentially based on the popular YZF-R15 and MT-15 range of bikes, neatly packaged in a retro avatar. The XSR155 was recently launched in Thailand and, more interestingly, has been priced less than its 155-cc siblings. This makes it a very tempting proposition and we sincerely hope that Yamaha bring it to India soon. Don’t be surprised if you spot familiar cycle parts such as the Deltabox frame, die-cast aluminium swingarm, 17-inch alloy wheels, and identical braking system. Benelli Leoncino 500 With its styling inspired by classic motorcycles, the Leoncino 500 has been priced at Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Powering this motorcycle is a 500-cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin that churns out 47.5 hp at 8,500 revolutions per minute and 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are taken care of by a 50-mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock (preload and rebound adjustable) at the rear. A pair of 320-mm discs and radially mounted four-piston calipers provide braking at the front while a single 260-mm disc handles duties at the rear. It also gets switchable dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle will be offered only in two colours for now: Steel Grey and Leoncino Red. The Leoncino 500 has no direct rivals…

motul’s number one fan

My love for and dedication to Motul began in the year 1985. I used to love bikes a lot from my childhood and as I grew up, that fascination only increased. I came across MotoGP and gradually became a fan of Kevin Schwantz and Suzuki. Both inspired me a lot and I made up my mind that I too would follow all the sponsors that were on Schwantz’s bike, especially Motul. Kevin is my inspiration and my idol.
