VANILLA & CARAMEL BAKED ALASKA MAKES 12 SERVINGS HANDS-ON TIME 2 HOURS TOTAL TIME 7 HOURS Almond Sponge Cake ⅓ cup all-purpose flour3 tbsp ground almonds½ cup granulated sugar, divided3 eggs, at room temperature1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted Caramel Chip Ice Cream ⅔ cup granulated sugar¼ cup unsalted butter1 tbsp white corn syrup pinch salt8 cups vanilla ice cream, softened Meringue ½ cup pasteurized liquid egg whites (or 4 extra fresh egg whites)¼ tsp cream of tartar¾ cup granulated sugar Almond Sponge Cake Preheat oven to 350°F.
