This issue marks Harper’s Bazaar’s 13th year in India, and I am delighted to have you celebrate this milestone with us. It is worth mentioning that in 1867, the inaugural cover of Harper’s Bazar (spelled with a single ‘a’), featured the following line: “A repository of fashion, pleasure, and instruction”. Over the years, Harper’s Bazaar grew to become an iconic brand that stood for glorious, creative fashion; sophisticated storytelling; individualism; lush visuals; and feminism (Bazar was one of the first mainstream publications to endorse the women’s suffrage movement). An iconic brand that invited its readers to discover the magic of fashion, with a dose of good advice and thoughtfulness. And today, Bazaar readers and loyalists know—and love—the legacy magazine that is ‘The style bible for the well-dressed woman with a well-dressed mind’. One of…
