A 1931 Bentley 4½-Litre Supercharged “Birkin Le Mans Replica” Tourer celebrates the 100th anniversary of the great British marque as it leads 130-plus classics into Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction, August 15 and 16, during the annual Pebble Beach/ Monterey Peninsula Car Week. The longest-held auction on the Monterey Peninsula, the 22nd Bonhams has been extended to two days, Thursday and Friday, on the western lawns of Quail Lodge & Golf Club, at Valley Greens Drive and Rancho San Carlos Road, Carmel. Offering a breadth of premium vehicles at reserve and no reserve, the event is held with The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering 2019. 7th-annual carmel mission classic is august 14

Four 1930s classics –– two American cars and one German and a Swedish motorcycle –– are among the 50 vehicles planned for the 7th-annual Carmel Mission Classic, Wednesday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., August 14, at the historic Carmel Mission Basilica, 3080 Rio Road in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The first, a 1930 Stutz Monte Carlo, features coachwork by Weymann. One of three known to exist, the car visits from the Los Angeles Driving Museum in Los Angeles. The body was hand constructed out of ash, and the exterior is covered in a leatherette material, making this a “fabric-bodied” car. A 1933 Chrysler CL Imperial Dual Windshield Phaeton with coachwork by LeBaron will appear from the San Francisco Academy of Art Auto Museum. Concorso Italiano – the world’s largest celebration of Italian car design and performance – returns for its 34th year Saturday, August 17, 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m., at the Bayonet Blackhorse Golf Course in Seaside, California. More than 8,000 attendees are expected to enjoy 1,000 cars and motorcycles. The event celebrates the 50th anniversaries of the Ferrari 365 Dino and the DeTomaso Pantera.
