Finding Balance
What’s happened to decorating is much like what’s happened to fashion. Gone are the everyday work clothes that you could dress up or down by changing into a pair of heels and throwing on a dressy top for an evening event. I don’t even know what “office clothes” look like anymore, do you? Instead, we have leggings, tees and ripped jeans, plus the other extreme of super-dressy, luxe pieces that are expensive, totally impractical, but look fabulous. These are often memorable things that you can’t wear too often, even if they cost too much. It’s the same with decorating.
