EDITOR’S NOTE
Dear Reader, When you think of “winter,” what’s the first thing that comes to mind? In my experience, many respond with dread. They balk at the cold temperatures, groan at shoveling heavy snow, and dearly miss the sun. I hear that and I understand it, but I’d like to suggest looking at winter from a different point of view. For me, winter has always been my favorite time of year. The cold temperatures mean that I can comfortably layer on more of my woolen handknits. A good snowstorm offers an opportunity to cook a hearty meal, cast on a new project, and knit my way through a movie marathon.
