Say what you like about Bernice Blackstock – she’s never afraid to go for what she wants in life. It might often end in disaster and humiliation, but at least she’s true to herself. In the beginning... Mick was born on 19 January 1977 to mum Shirley, but was brought up by his grandparents, Sylvie and Stan, as their own son. Mick had no idea of his true parentage for almost 40 years, until Shirley was forced to admit the truth. First love Mick is married to his childhood sweetheart, Linda Peacock. Despite meeting when they were at school, the pair never married, although they pretended they were. This did later allow them to throw a big wedding in 2016, though.
