Dear Simon, you are quite right, what Jacob did was unforgivable.
In fact, it was just as inexcusable as knocking your own mum about… Or forcing spice cigarettes on Summer when she was just 13… Or being part of a gang who mugged Audrey Roberts. Imagine being morally bankrupt enough as a teenager that you steal cars to go joyriding, stage a burglary at an old lady’s flat and then join a drug-dealing gang!
All these things on their own are disgusting, but together they make for quite a roll call of dishonour. It was only right and proper that your family disowned you, and you were cast out of polite society.
Except you weren’t, you hypocrite. You were given not one, but many chances at redemption. So, stop banging…
