You’d be surprised at how many things each of us takes for granted. Whether you call it common sense, assumed knowledge or simply the details you don’t need to think about, the sheer amount of stuff that we unquestioningly accept is staggering. Stuff like the fact that the Earth is constantly spinning, or that some materials are magnetic, or that water is clear, or that – somewhat conveniently – there are 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour.
