We are a cinema-obsessed nation and few things arrest our collective consciousness as events on celluloid and, more importantly, the people who make them happen. They’re all over our screens, on our Instagram feeds and in our tabloids… For the most part, however, Indian cinema remains synonymous with Bollywood and its highly popular actors. Yes, we do love them a lot, but in this issue we’re southward-bound. When Baahubali: The Beginning came out in 2015, the nationwide adulation and anticipation it set up for its sequel was unheard of in recent film history.
