Just two weeks ago, I walked into a room filled with some of the most inspiring women I know. It was the night of our annual award show, Vogue Women of the Year 2019, and the energy was palpable. If 2019 is anything to go by, it is evident that the future is female. This was the year we won gold with PV Sindhu, skipped school with Greta Thunberg, shared the dream of a group of female scientists to take us to the moon and found our favourite superhero in Captain Marvel—all reminders of the power of women and the power of their persistence.
