The thing with real superstars, the ones that dazzle the red carpet as much as they light up the screen, is that they evoke one of two responses: you’re either in complete awe of everything they stand for or you secretly wish you could befriend them, look through the enigma and know everything because you’re attracted to them way beyond their appearances and on-screen roles. Salma Hayek has been the latter for me all my life. (Julianne Moore and Meryl Streep are the others I’d put on this same pedestal.)
