Knickknack Patrol. That’s what we call it in my house when we take a brutally honest look at our clutter. We all know those spots where stuff seems to multiply: mail on the hall table, condiments in the refrigerator, papers on the desk, forgotten stuff in the back of the closet. They all need to be sorted and recycled or discarded with annoying frequency. Several times a year I try to look at my house with fresh eyes, as if I didn’t live there. What would a visitor see?
