EDITOR’S LETTER
Judging Home Of The Year is one of the most enjoyable days on my work calendar. Hanging out at the Brickworks Design Studio in Sydney with fellow judges Cameron Bruhn (of The University of Queensland) and Brett Ward (general manager of international marketing at Brickworks) and fully immersing ourselves in some of Australia’s most dynamic residential projects is always a delight. But drilling down to pick the overall winner is always hard. Every project is incredible. Our awards are a celebration of the making of gorgeous, considered homes, and the projects that poured in this year reflect a truly buoyant energy around what’s happening in local design and construction (page 27).
