EDITOR’S PICK We can't get enough of this stunnning kitchen, which was designed to perfection by Enigma Interiors. Check it out on page 104. My idea of a luxurious home involves rich floors, marble surfaces and hints of matt black and rose gold spread throughout the home. I love elegant, minimalist kitchens that include high-tech appliances, which make cooking a breeze, and there’s nothing better than an indulgent bathroom with a large, luxurious bath to soak in after a long day. That being said, luxury means something different to everyone, and it’s so important to design your home to suit your tastes and needs. follow the light

When push comes to shove, the lighting options you choose for your home are capable of making or breaking a space. In this light, it’s important to choose well and select designs that are timeless and won’t date. We were thrilled to find that the majority of lighting products displayed this year were designed with luxurious, elegant homes in…

good food & wine show

From small artisan vendors to the biggest names in the industry, everything from cheese, wine and tea to the best in dining homewares was on display. The Champagne Taittinger & Oyster Bar was a must-visit, with a premium area on the show floor offering a full glass of Taittinger paired with delicious oysters. For lovers of all things cheese, Cheese Alley had everything from buffalo mozzarella, sharp bitey cheddar and creamy Camembert to Australian goat’s cheese on offer. The…

international inspiration

French Provincial With intricate details and often expensive materials, a provincial-style kitchen is not something to take on half-heartedly. The pay-off, however, is well worth the effort. Provincial kitchens are sophisticated, elegant and create a charming ambience throughout the home. With such a distinct style, this design may not work in every home, and adjoining areas and decor need to match the look and feel of the room. The design, however, stirs up memories of hearty home-cooked meals and big family dinners. COMMON PROVINCIAL KITCHEN ELEMENTS ▪ Timber or stone flooring ▪ Feature kitchen island ▪ Marble benchtops ▪ Freestanding oven ▪ Porcelain sink ▪ Pendant lighting Hamptons Inspired by a group of villages in the towns of Southampton and East Hampton in Long Island, New York, the Hamptons style combines a light and breezy atmosphere with classy design elements and…
