Unless you are an accountant, or perhaps a transplant surgeon, variety isn’t just the spice of life, it’s a sign of life. There are limits and balances to be struck, of course – accountants would very non-plussed if they came across a set of books where the objectivity principle was blurred halfway through, and a thoracic surgeon would be especially careful if a patient’s heart pointed right instead of left (although it does happen). As announced at the end of last year, 2022 marks the important launch of a digital version of Jaguar Journal. An electronic version can save costs and increase our reach internationally to non-JCNA Jaguar enthusiasts. Please follow the information below to change your Jaguar Journal subscription to digital delivery. Led by Les Hamilton, JCNA has been working to provide a timely and secure digital edition option to members without incurring undue costs. Our production partners at Graphcom initially hosted an interactive PDF version for us but there were costs involved, as well as difficulty in controlling access to non-members. Our competition season is in full swing for many warm-weather club affiliates, but the north isn’t far behind. Winter is gradually loosening its icy grip here. As we tear the pages from our calendars and welcome the resurgence of nice weather, we are looking forward to concours events and road trips with our cars in the coming months. I hope that you and your families are in good health and appreciate the time you spend together. Health and time are not to be taken for granted. Let’s enjoy ourselves while remaining responsible and vigilant. All clubs, including my home club here in Wisconsin, have worked hard to put together some great events for your participation. The Northeast Region of JCNA is comprised of 11 very active clubs and the 2021 season was certainly active! Bill Beible, my co-director for the Northeast Region, predicted at the end of 2020 that we were set for a roaring post-Covid 2021, but we never expected that the roar would still be through a mask! The good news is that as restrictions eased and people began to sneak outdoors, more concours, rallies and slaloms started to happen and JCNA breathed again! Our region alone held five large concours, four slaloms and four rallies in 2021. In addition, the Empire Division still held their Lime Rock Park event, where JCNA members were able to dig their Jaguar’s claws into a real racetrack, and we also had the Florida IJF on our…
