“Every avenue seems to be a dead end,” says Antony Cotton, who plays tragic Sean. “Sean shrugs his shoulders and goes, ‘There’s not much that I can do’. He thinks it’s going to be for one night, then it turns out it’s much longer.”
As Sean gets increasingly desperate, his only salvation could be Carol, played by Coronation Street newcomer Emma Hartley-Miller.
“She’s a beautiful actress,” shares Antony. “She’s Scottish, but in the show, she’s proper Salford/Manchester. I really lucked out with her, and we got on really well with one another.”
Sean discovers that Carol has been surviving on the streets for quite some time, and the pair strike up an unlikely friendship.
