Moral outrage is justifiable anger, disgust, or frustration directed toward others who violate ethical values or standards. It usually surges when our moral identity and integrity have been compromised.
Racial and ethnic hatred remains widespread today. Oddly, many discriminate without thinking, as most people do not think much to begin with. For example, when the US, Britain, Canada and their allies bomb the life out of Somalia, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Iran and so many other dark-skin nations, few white people care. Nobody hangs a flag in solidarity with the suffering of the oppressed “darkies”.
