One of the things we love most about dressmaking is the power it gives us to stitch up the latest trends, but sometimes our look (and our sewing machine) is just crying out for a vintage style to add to our me-made repertoire. When you next find yourself stuck for stitching ideas, a scroll through textile artist Emma Giacalone's Instagram feed is the perfect remedy for creative block. Her freehand embroidery pieces are not only beautifully stitched, but also feature motivational words that are sure to have you firing up your sewing machine (and treating yourself to something from her online store of lovely stitched art).
