Sitting here in my office at home, I can almost feel campers up and down the country straining against their handbrake cables. With the schedule currently suggesting we will be free to go camping around the time this magazine hits the shelves, the shelves of shops that will be opening at around the same time I might add. To be honest I won’t be in the first wave, preferring a slightly more circumspect approach. I, like most, have become used to playing the long game, so a couple more weeks won’t do any harm and the initial ground swell of campers may have eased back a little by then. Shows will be next on the agenda, we’re planning for Camper Jam, Camper Calling, Camper Site and even Camper Mart to be…

celsus upgrade

Poole based distribution company, Celsus UK, have announced a major overhaul of their website. The company’s aim with this new e-commerce platform is to give both their trade and retail customers an easy to use platform, that educates and guides decision making, instead of being solely transactional. As the world continues to shift towards the online environment, customer expectations change and Celsus recognised the need to improve how their products can be viewed and purchased. The centre point in the automotive section of the website is the re-built “vehicle product finder” tool which, alongside a vast increase in assigned products, now has an upgraded selector and visual clarification at make, model and head unit level. Visit www.celsusice.co.uk to find out more.…

Just before going to press we received some devastating news, and it is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of regular contributor Ian Pegram, another victim of COVID 19. We have been running the series since issue 96 and in fact the final piece appears in this month’s issue. A set of hints and tips for anyone wanting to complete a similar journey themselves. Ian, Juliet and their T6 were present at Camper Mart in January last year and during the day were often surrounded by a whole…

copper bottom coolness

Last year Jonathan Knight and his colleagues at Knights Custom Conversions put together a demonstrator to show people just what they were capable of creating and to showcase their latest innovations and how they could be included in a van. The conversion was started in January 2020 with the purchase of a brand-new van that had just delivery miles on it, it had been Volkswagen’s intention for it to be a demonstrator for them, but once Jonathan saw the colour those plans changed. The design of the van’s interior is centred around the Reimo Variotech 3000 sliding bench seat, one that can, unsurprisingly, be easily changed into a bed. As you’d expect the seat is mounted on Reimo’s rail system, making the vehicle as flexible as possible. Naturally, the system has…
