The days are turning shorter and the weather is turning colder, so inevitably my mind turns to the C word. I feel slightly embarrassed to bring it up because I’m not one of those people who looks forward to Christmas throughout the year. In fact, I sort of dread it. Not being an organised person by nature, the sheer amount of thinking ahead required puts me in a bit of a panic-induced stasis, where I know I need to get my act together but simply can’t, and end up buying everything last minute online. Historically this inertia has made me, quite frankly, a terrible handmade gift giver.
