what’s happening Focus on 2020 Trends: calm and confident colors! According to the paint industry, the 2020 colors of the year express a sense of calm, as illustrated by Glidden’s Almost Pink (top right) and Benjamin Moore’s Soft Fern. On the other hand, the Pantone Color Institute experts have a bolder forecast for Spring/Summer 2020. “The color palette infuses heritage and tradition with a colorful, youthful update that creates strong multi-colored combinations as well as energizing and optimistic pairings,” says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. Among Pantone’s friendly and relatable palette is Flame Scarlet.
