WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PROGRESS FROM AN E-SHOP TO THE REAL THING?Katherine grew up in Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire, where she would regularly check out what was on offer at Baileys, a great local homewares store. These visits, which have become fond memories, definitely influenced our decision to become shopkeepers. We met in Falmouth in Cornwall, where we were both studying fine art at the university. After graduating, we moved to Bristol, where we began curating contemporary craft products made by friends. Midgley Green was launched as a website specialising in ceramics, woodwork and textiles by British designer-makers. It’s grown from a small site run from our spare room, to a thriving business based in a Victorian shop.HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE THE ETHOS BEHIND MIDGLEY GREEN?Today, studio rents are rocketing, competition…
