Well, this will be an introduction letter like no-other for this magazine. Having been part of the parchment community for more than 20 years it’s with great sadness that I announce that this will be the last ever edition of Parchment Craft magazine. Unfortunately, the time has come for the magazine to close. Myself and the team have absolutely loved every minute of providing content for you. We get so excited to open the post every morning and see what our wonderful contributors have created and what we will be sharing with you. This magazine would have been nothing without them and so if you have contributed in any way please accept my sincere thanks. You will need Your basic tool kit plus: Pergamano ● 1.5mm and 3mm embossing tools ● Bold 1-needle perforating tool ● Bold straight grid ● Perga glue Plus ● Parchment scissors ● Plain parchment paper ● Brown parchment paper ● White pencil ● White gel pen or mapping pen and white ink ● Straight edge scissors ● Fine metallic thread ● White, brown and gold mirri card TO CREATE THE 3D FEATHER Trace Repeat with the 1.5mm embossing tool all the way along. This should achieve a shaft that is finer at the top of the feather than at the quill (step 2). Emboss Working on the back of your work, with a 3mm embossing tool, emboss the shaft of the feather, lifting your tool slightly towards the finer end…

You will need Your basic tool kit plus: ● Regular, pink and blue parchment ● White pencil ● Black or violet pen ● Dorso crayons in pink, green and violet ● Dorso oil ● Paper sticks or kitchen towel ● Red and green ink ● Large embossing tool ● Extra-large embossing tool ● 1-needle tool ● 2-needle tool ● Parchment scissors or snips TIP: I added a drop of water in a spare bottle to reduce the intensity of the red. Trace Fix your parchment to the pattern and secure with low-tac tape and trace the whole border in white pencil. Trace the central flowers leaves in green ink and the rose in red.
